Where should I actually spray it?
Onto the carpet or floor mats, or lightly into the airflow near the A/C recirculation intake with the fan running. Don't spray it onto seats, the headliner or the screen. Fabric holds fragrance longer than hard surfaces anyway.

Will it stain vegan leather or alcantara?
It isn't intended for direct application to upholstery. Spray the floor or the airflow instead — that's both safer and more effective, because the scent distributes rather than sitting in one spot.

Does it neutralize odor or just cover it?
Both, honestly. It contains odor-neutralizing components, but no air freshener removes a source. If something is actually rotting under a seat or a spill has soaked into carpet backing, clean the source first — fragrance over an untreated smell just gives you two smells.

How is this different from a vent clip?
Vent clips release continuously whether you want them to or not, and they concentrate scent at the vent. A spray gives you control over how much and where, and it doesn't sit in your line of sight.
