Is Windex safe on a Tesla touchscreen?
No. Windex and most household glass cleaners contain ammonia, which attacks the anti-glare and oleophobic coatings on vehicle touchscreens. The damage shows up as permanent haze or cloudiness and can't be polished out. Tesla's own guidance is to avoid cleaners on the display altogether — glass cleaner included.

Is this cleaner safe on tinted windows?
Yes. Ammonia is what degrades tint film — it breaks down the adhesive and the dye, which is why tinted glass goes purple and bubbles. This formula contains none.

Why a waffle weave towel rather than a plush one?
Plush microfiber has a deep pile that holds liquid in the nap and drags it around. Waffle weave's raised grid lifts liquid off the surface into the pockets instead. That's why it's the standard for glass and why we pair it with this bottle.

Can I use it on the touchscreen?
No, and we would rather tell you that than claim one more use case. Tesla's owner's manual says not to use cleaners on the display — it names glass cleaner specifically — and also warns against freshly washed microfiber, because static attracts dust. Use a lint-free cloth made for screens, barely damp with water, and switch on Screen Clean Mode first (Controls → Display → Screen Clean Mode) so you don't trigger anything while wiping. This cleaner is for glass: windshield, side windows, mirrors, glass roof.
